In this movie we pick up years later.  Scott is still Santa, Charlie is now in high school, and Laura and Neal have a daughter, Lucy.  We are also introduced to new characters including the Tooth Fairy, Mother Nature, Cupid, the Easter Bunny, and Sandman.  I almost forgot the weirdest character, Chet.  Chet is a reindeer in training who is in need of lots of training.

Scott finds out, from his elf Curtis, that he needs to be married by Christmas, or he won’t be Santa anymore and Christmas will be ruined.  At the same time, he finds out Charlie is on the naughty list.  It turns out Charlie has been struggling with keeping his father’s secret and his displeasure with the lack of Christmas at his school, so he spray-paints graffiti.  This brings Scott in contact with Principal Carol Newman.  Shock surprise they fall in love, but she doesn’t believe in Santa until Charlie convinces her.  They marry just in time and save Christmas.

The only part that’s a little absurd is the fake Santa Curtis makes with his machine.  It’s plastic and he takes over the Pole and the elves with his army of enormous toy soldiers.  He was made to pretend to be Santa while Scott went to find a wife but of course he goes nuts.  The toy soldiers can barely move.

Once again, this is good for the whole family.  There are funny moments like Molly Shannon’s Christmas-crazy character and the farting reindeer.  It has the same feel and magic of the first movie.  It stands alone but I think it’s way more enjoyable to watch after the first one.

If you haven’t seen it, I hope you give it a try.  If you have, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the movie.  Happy Viewing!
